Network Technician

TechSolutions, Inc., a leading provider of IT services, is looking for an experienced NETWORK TECHNICIAN with excellent customer service skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and have a strong desire to learn and grow with the company.

This position requires the applicant to prove his/her ability to install, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair computer hardware and software, including servers and workstations.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Manage and maintain clients' computer networks
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware
  • Install, configure and troubleshoot software including: Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Exchange Server, Microsoft SQL Server, Symantec BackUp Exec, Symantec Endpoint Protection, VMware ESX Server, Microsoft workstation OS (XP, Vista, Windows 7), Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Remove spyware and viruses from client workstations
  • Join workstations to domains
  • Setup network attached printers
  • Setup and troubleshoot TCP/IP
  • Work with clients to suggest hardware and solutions to meet their business goals

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and deductive reasoning
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Must have reliable transportation (you will be supporting multiple clients in and around the Wilmington, DE area, and will be traveling between sites)
  • Must be willing to participate in rotating on-call schedule
  • Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends, as needed

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience
  • MCSA or MCITP-Server Administrator certification is required
  • Network + certification or equivalent knowledge required
  • A+ certification or equivalent knowledge required
  • Windows Server 2003/2008 Administrator experience required
  • Exchange Server 2003/2007 Administrator experience helpful
  • VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3 / vSphere 4 experience helpful
